  1. Facility entrances are staffed and locked, and access is limited to authorized individuals only.
  2. Multiple levels of electronic motion and disturbance detectors monitor the facility night and day.
  3. Visitors and deliveries are logged in and out and cross-checked.
  4. Loading docks are staffed at all times.
  5. Data tapes and disks are housed in a locked and secure area.
  6. Media and critical data are secured in a waterproof and fireproof safe.
  7. Electronically transmitted data is secured and backed up on media that is physically removed by management daily to an off-site location.
  8. No file may be accessed or processed without entering a secure password.
  9. Production facilities, including the lettershop, ship- ping/receiving docks, laser-printing and handwork areas, are under management surveillance.
  10. Quality-control procedures include unusual event detection at every phase.
  11. All employees and equipment are indexed to each job as tracking and accountability controls.
  12. Nationwide criminal and social security number background checks on all potential employees.
  13. Multiple management, supervisory and production employees are accountable for each phase.
